Voice measurements · beta

Try it: speak a customer's measurements

Measure the customer and say the numbers out loud, in English, Hindi, Gujarati or Spanish. Fractions like a half and a quarter work too.

Voice is in beta and still being tested. It will mishear words for now, so it will not work as well as it should yet. Everyone can still try it, here and in the app.

Say for example: “chest 40, waist 36 and a half, sleeve 24 and a quarter”

Nothing you say is saved. How voice handles your audio is explained in our privacy policy.

Prices in pounds

Choose the United Kingdom in Settings and every price, invoice and report shows in £. Print on A4 or an 80 mm receipt printer.

Collections you will not miss

This week's collections and anything overdue are on the first screen.

Everything for your accountant

Export sales, invoices, payments and money still owed to a spreadsheet, filtered by date.

Good to know

  • It runs in the browser: nothing to install, and it needs an internet connection.
  • Loomton prints VAT invoices but does not submit VAT returns. It is not Making Tax Digital software; give the export to your accountant or your bookkeeping software.
  • One login per shop for now. Staff logins and several devices at once are planned, not built.
  • Card payments are recorded, not taken: use your own card machine, then mark the order as paid.

Questions and answers

Can it make VAT invoices?

Yes. Set your VAT rate and number once. Each invoice then shows the VAT and your VAT number. Check what your invoices must include with your accountant or HMRC's own guidance.

Does it submit my VAT return?

No. Loomton is not Making Tax Digital software. It keeps your sales and invoices and exports them to a spreadsheet for your accountant or your bookkeeping software.

Can I take a deposit for a made-to-measure order?

Yes. Enter the deposit when you take the order. The order shows what is still due, and the invoice shows both.

Inches or centimetres?

Either. Measurements are the numbers you type, with halves and quarters. Fabric can be counted by the metre, the yard, the piece or the roll.

Does it work for a dressmaker working from home?

Yes. It needs no shop counter or till: a phone or iPad is enough to keep clients, measurements, fittings and payments.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Open the website on a phone, iPad or computer, sign up, and start. There is nothing to download.
