Terms of Use
Beta version. Last updated .
These terms are the agreement between you and Loomton (run by the team behind Loomton, based in India) for using the website at loomton.com and the app. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Loomton.
1. What Loomton is
Loomton is shop management software for tailors, fabric shops and clothing stores: customers, measurements, orders, stock, bills and payments. It runs in a web browser and needs an internet connection.
2. Beta software
Loomton is in beta. Features may change, be added or be removed, and there may be mistakes. We work to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but during the beta we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Please keep your own backups (section 5) and tell us when something goes wrong.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into an agreement for your business.
- Give a real email address that you can read, so you can reset your password.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
- One account is for one shop or business. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Your data belongs to you
- The information you enter (your customers, orders, stock, bills and settings) is yours.
- You give us permission to store, copy and process it only as needed to provide the service to you: saving it, keeping it in step between devices, and showing it back to you.
- We do not sell it or use it for advertising. The Privacy Policy explains this in detail.
5. Backups are your responsibility
The app lets you download a full backup and export your records as spreadsheets at any time. Do this regularly. We take care of your data, but no service is perfect, and a backup in your own hands is the only complete protection against loss.
6. Your customers' information
You record personal information about your own customers, such as names, phone numbers and measurements. You are responsible for having the right to keep that information and for following the privacy laws that apply to your business.
7. Bills, tax and accuracy
- Loomton calculates totals and taxes from the rates and settings you enter. You are responsible for choosing settings that are correct for your business.
- Check your bills, tax amounts and reports before relying on them or giving them to customers or the authorities.
- Loomton is a record-keeping tool. It does not give tax, accounting or legal advice. For those, ask a qualified accountant.
8. Voice
Voice can mishear. Always check the measurements it fills in before you save them. When you use online voice, your browser's speech service (Google or Apple) processes what you say, under that company's own terms.
9. Fair use
You agree not to:
- use the service to break the law, to deceive, or to harm others;
- try to read, change or delete data that is not yours;
- try to break, overload or get around the limits or the security of the service;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or use automated tools to pull data from it, other than exporting your own records;
- upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to store.
10. The free plan and paid plans
- The beta is free. The free plan currently allows up to 20 orders and sales a month. This limit may change.
- Paid plans may be introduced later. Nothing you use for free will start costing money without notice: we will tell you before, and you choose whether to pay.
- If you later pay for a plan, its price, period and refund terms will be shown clearly before you pay.
11. Services we rely on
Loomton uses other companies' services to work, such as database hosting, website delivery, and your browser's speech service. They are listed in the Privacy Policy. A fault at one of them can affect Loomton, and that is outside our control.
12. Our software
The Loomton app, website, name and design belong to us. These terms let you use them; they do not transfer ownership. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve the product without owing you anything.
13. Ending your use
- You can stop using Loomton at any time. Export your data first, then ask us to delete your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you the chance to export your data.
- If we ever shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice, at least 30 days where possible, so you can export your data.
14. No guarantee
Loomton is provided "as it is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no guarantees about it, including that it will suit a particular purpose, run without interruption, or be free of errors.
15. Limit of our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost business or lost data, that come from using or being unable to use Loomton. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. During the free beta, that amount is zero. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law does not allow to be removed.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a disagreement cannot be settled by talking to us first, it will be decided by the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, unless the consumer law of your own country gives you the right to use your local courts.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using Loomton after a change means you accept the new terms.
